Established in 1982, Austech Instruments is a niche market designer and manufacturer of gas detection equipment and systems serving the market sectors of oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, mining, defence, heavy industry, building services and utilities.
Austech Instruments offer a large range of detection systems to suit many different applications. These are available for non-hazardous applications as well as hazardous environments using various explosion protection techniques.
The Austech range includes single, four and twelve channel system controllers; multi-channel (expandable) system controllers; single cable, multi sensor systems; fire/gas/emergency shut down (ESD) control and monitoring systems and sample draw systems.
Austech’s range of gas detectors is suitable for oxygen and a vast array of combustible and toxic gases. Sensor operating principles utilised for these products include Infrared, Catalytic and Electrochemical. Austech also supply and service a range of portable gas detectors which measure from one to five gases simultaneously and detect flammable and toxic gases, ensuring the ultimate in safety.
Austech has in-house facilities for environmental, vibration and RFI/EMI testing plus the infrastructure needed to design products suited to the climatic conditions they will be exposed to when in operation.
Product improvement and new product development is continually based on interfacing with Austech’s customer base in a proactive and supportive manner. Austech’s continued commitment to meeting customer needs, in both hardware and related software, positions them as an innovator of gas detection and alarm systems throughout the Southern Hemisphere.
