The infra red gas detector brings new technology to the gas detection industry.
Our engineering team has produced the smallest, simplest and most reliable unit available by combining patented technological advances which eliminate the need for more mirrors, optical beam splitters, windows and multiple sensors.
The detector utilises an improved microprocessor chip and a lamp control technique to measure stability and a temperature assisted optical bench has been implemented to improve tolerance to moisture.
The infra red sensor is superior to traditional catalytic sensors as there are no consumable sensor components, subsequently reducing the cost of ownership.
A “NO GAS” confidence test enables routine testing without the need for calibration test gases. Utilising this new technology, the IR range includes sensors for CH4 and CO2. Special sensitivity types are also available including a Hydrocarbon unit that is used for defence and marine applications.
The detector has the ability to integrate with Ampcontrol’s patented iMAC control and monitoring system and has Hazardous Area Certification Ex s (d) IIC T6 – Australia.
