By mounting high intensity, long-life LEDs into a low profile static dissipative light enclosure, Burn Brite has created an innovative mine lighting system offering an alternative to traditional fluorescent lighting.
Consisting of lights, cables and a power supply, the Burn Brite Intrinsically Safe LED lighting system has been designed with safety and ease of maintenance as paramount importance.
Using an intrinsically safe power supply operating from either 120 or 240 VAC, a safe 12VDC potential is supplied through a new cabling system to the encapsulated lights. IP66 distribution boxes complete the system.
The IS LED lights have a low profile for reduced intrusion into the headroom of the AFC walkway. The body is moulded in high impact strength, static dissipative and fire retardant nylon and the clear visor is moulded in polycarbonate and fitted with ‘O’ rings for moisture protection.
Four high strength rare earth magnets are attached to the corners for mounting the light on a ferrous metallic surface, with secondary securing achieved with either roof welded pins and ‘R’ clips, or a stainless steel wire lanyard.
The light enclosure is encapsulated to prevent moisture ingress and assist in heat dissipation.
