It’s an exciting time for Ampcontrol as we are experiencing a period of rapid and sustained growth which has resulted in establishing a Brisbane based engineering hub.

Our engineers provide superior products and services to all of our market sectors including Surface & Underground Mining, Power Distribution, Energy, Oil & Gas/Petroleum, Defence, HVAC & Environmental Monitoring, Tunnelling, Industrial and Infrastructure.

We are looking for Electrical Engineers with PLC/SCADA/Commissioning/Control & Instrumentation experience in the mining and HV power distribution industries.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will perform site electrical engineering services (testing, commissioning and installation), product training and customer service/product support for original equipment designed and manufactured by us.
• You will work in small teams across the commissioning phase of mining electrical projects on a cyclical basis between mine sites and the Brisbane office

What you’ll need:

• Electrical/electronic or computer engineering qualifications
• Experience with electrical switchgear and control systems expertise
• Control Logix PLC and Citect SCADA programming skills
• Exposure to underground coal mining environments with longwall electrical packages
